Pilmeny Mini Club

*Pilmeny Mini Club resumes Tuesday 10th January*

Tuesday and Thursdays Funded By Comic Relief, The Bank of Scotland Foundation and The Gannochy Trust.

For Previous Project evaluation and videos, please see the Community Page

The Pilmeny Mini Club is funded as a direct result of funding from the Comic Relief, The Bank of Scotland Foundation and The Gannochy Trust. With a focus on healthy lifestyles and social interaction, the Mini Club provides a fun service to children in Primary 2-4, complimenting the PYC's existing youth work provision.

Our programme is diverse and tailored to the needs and abilities of the young people in attendance, with activities including energetic play, indoor sports, arts and crafts and music among others. Nutritional education is a key part of our programme, with fresh fruit provided at every session free of charge.

The clubs will function right through the school terms but will take short breaks during the school holidays. The Pilmeny Youth Centre will be used as our main base, but we hope to get out and about as much as possible, weather permitting, for small outdoor games. Qualified staff will attend the club sessions and funds are also set aside for any trips or outings we may arrange. We also hope to bring tutors in for one off sessions to further diversify the programme and bring their expertise directly to the children, aiding their development.

Tuesday and Thursday Sessions run from 15:30 - 17:00.

Further details on all aspects of the club can be obtained from the youth centre. Pop in at the office or call 0131 554 0953 during office hours.
